Masham
Stay awhile amidst the charms in the historic market town of Masham in lower Wensleydale. Masham features the largest market square in Yorkshire filled with fantastic Georgian houses, cafes, tea rooms and pubs, together with a variety of art, craft and gift shops.
Masham has two breweries, both making real ales in the traditional way. The Black Sheep Brewery and Theakstons Brewery both have excellent visitor centres and brewery tours.
The third full weekend of July hosts Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally.
July sees the Yorkshire Festival of Ales followed my the Famous Sheep Fair in September.
